Is the OPSIX the Best Synth of 2021?
The Korg OPSIX was officially released in December, 2020 and did not ship to stores until 2021. I am blown away by this keyboard. But is it just me? Am I biased? In this video, I will demo some of the factory presets/programs. Tell me your opinion below. (New video coming shortly on how to program the OPSIX!)

    Nice! Does the Juno Stage and the Di also contain this type of drum machine / pattern library? I just found the Rhythm pattern button, it's just a little smaller on the Juno Stage. Going to play around with this later.

    I’ve owned multiple workstations and one other synth. This will be the first synth I’m actually going to try make my own sounds. The stock sound are nice. The keyboard is light. But I’m okay with it. Keys feel like they will break. Wish I could switch into a new case or use it in a modular keyboard like the old Korg radius.

      In all honesty, the build quality is pretty good (case, face plate, knobs, and faders). Yes it is lightweight and the "keyboard" without aftertouch is "springy" and loud, but it is sturdy and everything works. and when you look at what is inside, the Pi is actually a really good basis and quite capable. Firmware one was a dud though and only after replacing it with 2.+ the machine started to sound good. I for one would not even mind if all the "keys" on the keyboard would break, or I could find a use unit with broken keys, that would give me a justification, to build a "custom case" as a desktop unit, which it should have been in the first place for around 350...

      @@philxdev nah, i probably wouldn't have even bought it if it didn't have keys.... my workflow needs there to be keys on every keyboard in my studio. they don't have to be good but they do have to have them for me lol.

    • @philxdev
      @philxdev Рік тому

      @@brobocop8293 yeah fair enough, I do not think the keys are "bad quality", they at least seem sturdy and get the job done.. for more control I will always use another keyboard with aftertouch anyhow. cheers Brobo
